That show was my crack for about 2-3 weeks over this summer. Seriously. Couldn't go a day without a few episodes in me, usually had to take double or triple at a time.

If I watched Lost on BD/DVD, it would have been the same way. The two best damn (sci-)fiction-drama shows to ever grace television.

That's the trick.
Each episode makes you think you figured out something... sometimes it throws you a bone and let's you be right... but often it just throws more hurtles and makes you scratch your head and shout obscenities for not playing nice. And if watching on disc, immediately load up the next episode out of frustration and excitement if the time is available.
