Finished our raised bed fruit boxes to compliment our veggie boxes. Hows it look?

I don't know if any of you remember but back in late June I posted a thread with some pics of the veggie boxes that my wife built. If you don't here's the thread Finished filling our raised bed vegetable boxes today. Big job but worth the effort..
So as a follow up to that thread I thought I would post a couple of pics of the fruit beds we just finished building. These aren't quit as elaborate but we think they still turned out nice. The dimensions are 6' x 30' and we used 2x6's for the walls. The fruits we decided on are a Fall Gold raspberry, Romeo cherry, Juliet cherry, Northland blueberry, and a Canadice grape.
I didn't take as many pics like with the veggie boxes but here a couple pics of the finished fruit beds. We can't wait to taste all the delicious fruit we get from these plants!
We finished running the wire for the grape vine this morning and here is a pic of my wife attaching it to the wire with some twine.

This is a side shot I took to give everyone an idea of how large the bed is. This corner of the yard is our fruit and veggie corner. The other areas of the yard are just flower beds.

Moved from OT.

Nice to have some fresh fruit grown from your own backyard garden.
You should just update the original thread instead of creating a new one. Hope to see the fruit of your labors (pun intended) in a few months.

Your planters and beds look much nicer than mine do, but you used some quality lumber too. I especially like the use of cable there. I really want to go back to growing hops again. =P

I used the cheapest wood I could find for my raised beds a few years ago and they're still holding together. I went to Lowe's and picked up fencing boards that run about $1.60 a piece for a 7' or so board. That allowed me to stack them 2-3 high and really build protection from rabbits and dogs yard trimmers and mower grass chutes.

Thanks, yeah using quality lumber from the get go is a necessity at least according to my wife and since she is the carpenter in the family I don't argue. haha
The posts and cable wire were my idea. After some research online on how to grow grapes I modified the design a little bit and modeled it after a setup I use in my greenhouse. So far it has worked out well but only time will tell.
Honestly digging the holes for the posts and mixing the sack create was the hardest part. 8" diameter holes 36" deep was a bitch to dig in the summer heat.

I notice the "No Trespassing" sign in the photo, what ever happened with the neighbor and the tree trimming?

Good memory @Micrornd! haha
He hasn't broached the subject since early spring and I haven't asked him about it either. As you can see from the pictures my wife and I proceeded full steam ahead with our plans for the yard so now it will be even more difficult for him to go that way.
What you don't see in the pictures is in addition to the veggie boxes and fruit boxes is a kidney shaped flower bed that we installed a few weeks back. It's just the beginning stages but it took $350 of topsoil, $160 of mulch and $150 of miscellaneous stuff like weed barrier and pins. It'' not planted yet so that was just the cost to get the foundations prepped for next spring.
Honestly at this point if he approaches me about it I will tell him no.

What you need ... are railroad ties.
