FIOS available in my area - any reason why should I get it?

Actually I've never gotten a torrent file at faster than 5Mbps (625KBps) either... and I used to have a down cap of 10Mbps (1250KBps). It's definitely a limit of people's combined upload capabilities. Just not enough people uploading who have high upload caps.

until recently, the only option in my area for a broadband connection was comcast cable (which runs $42 a month if I get comcast cable tv service which I do. It would be $52 a month without it)...

Now that FIOS is available, I would need to find out what would be cheaper/better for me:

Comcast cable TV and High speed internet or getting FIOS and a HD satellite provider...

right now I am on a promo with Comcast that will expire in a few months where I pay $98 (includes tax) for 4 mbps Interenet, 2 HD cable boxes (one w/ PVR) and HBO and Showtime...regular price for that package is $170 a month...
