Nope. Already said I don't do extracts. They're talentless creations. Anyone can mix some chemicals together to get something usable. I appreciate the breeding skill of growers, and the mixing skill of hotsauce makers to get a tasty blend. Same reason I wouldn't vape. It's just a bunch of chemicals anyone with a gas spectrometer could put together. Growing, curing, and blending tobacco is an art, and I appreciate art.

This post made me think of Secret Aardvark. That and weed.

Holy crap at 79 bucks that better be some serious stuff lol.

That stuff should be banned by UN treaty or some shit. Tell you what, I'll buy you a bottle if you promise to take and post a vid of you eating a nice dollop mixed in with a normal sized bowl of noodles, whatever flavor floats your boat.

Secret Aardvark is pretty good. Not that hot, but tasty.

I feel it's a good balance, hot sauce should include flavor. The times I think more heat is needed (like with really rich food) I might supplement it with a small amount of ghost pepper sauce I have. Aardvark is the kind of hot sauce you can provide for guests that does the job, but isn't going to ruin anyone's day.

Incidentally, back in the day when 'culinary retribution' was something I had to resort to, Dave's Insanity was my weapon of choice. Old and boring by modern chili head standards maybe, but still something that scares me a little.

I add this to spaghetti, hot dogs, etc...

Not the hottest stuff these days but one of the progenitors to ridiculous hot sauces we have these days.

I'd love to get my hands on those hot ramen noodles but I can't find em locally.

You sir, have my respect. Maybe a little sympathy for your stomach lining too.

Damn now you guys are making me want to buy a bottle lol. I imagine you don't put a lot so I guess a bottle goes a long way.

I don't know, according all of the "real men" in this thread you should be able to add the entire damn thing in one go and appreciate the sweet heat.

There's limits to everything. I'm fine with ghost chili and scorpion sauce, and I'll get a bottle of hottest pepper of the day sauce if I see it, but too much is too much. Extracts are to hot sauce as everclear is to whisky. More isn't better if you leave art behind.

When I was younger I started off with franks and other pepper sauces. Eventually I wanted something with a bit more kick but nothing like the million Scoville or whatever sauces they have now.

My stomach is pretty tempered, I don't suffer any ill effects unless I drink alcohol with spicy stuff.

Ates me some. Not all that hot.

The Asian food store I got them from had 2X hot packages right next to them. May try those later.

Looks like you bought the stew version which is more like the traditional ramen with broth. On the stew version, the noodle is little more flat and you're supposed to have regular amount of liquid broth. The one I had is the pasta version. The noodle is more round shape and you're supposed to remove most of the water and only leave little bit to mix the noodles and the spice.

+1 for Secret Aardvark. I tried it after seeing it suggested on this forum. I like the flavor of it; it is really good with eggs among many other things. I wish it was a bit cheaper to order online though, and I haven't seen it anywhere locally.

I like spicy food, but my preference will generally lean towards flavor. For example, when I make Thai red curry at home I have taken to adding only a few bird's eye peppers to a batch. It isn't terribly spicy, but the flavor is right. There is a local Thai place that gets the flavor right with heat. Whenever I try to match the heat, it ruins the flavor. That guy is some sort of wizard. When I match his spice level, it just tastes like the pepper.

I remember some orange based hot sauce always being on the table when I was in Panama at this fishing camp. The wait staff got a kick out of all the gringos trying it with breakfast, doing our best impressions of monks protesting Vietnam. Definitely beware hot sauce bottles with no labels. El Diablo y'all.

I forgot to mention this one, a hit with my old diving buddies. Aussies are nuts about this stuff.

Bird's Eye and Trini scorpion peppers. Reminds me of Fluckers. 'With a name like Shit The Bed, it's got to be good!' (Better than Dog vomit and monkey puss, way better than Painful Rectal Itch)

Finally tried the 2x. They were spicy, but they didn't taste very good, especially for the amount of salt and other bad stuff in them. I don't really see these as challenge-worthy.

You didn't like the taste? You bought the right product?

Going to Wegmans tomorrow morning. Crossing my fingers, and hope they have some. Otherwise, I guess I'll get a new phone battery and some noodles from amazon.

Seems to be the typical conflation I always see.

Cholesterol causes areterial plaque, which constricts arteries and leads to persistent high blood pressure.

Arterial plaque causes blockage and leads to heart disease and heart attacks.

Salt causes water retention, which causes temporary elevated blood pressure, which does not cause heart disease.

I still don't understand the conclusion that salt has any correlation to heart disease just because it has a correlation to temporarily elevated blood pressure.

Is there any way to reverse arterial plaque buildup? Anyone know?
