Although I love the television show, I don't think this game will live up to my expectations.

I would love a Firefly MMO if done right. I think it's one of those that probably would work better as an MMO than as a single player game (and I'm usually on the other side of the argument), but seriously? iphone MMO? no thanks.

Fox: "Ya, we felt leveling out of order would get you more hooked in the game to see the cool aspects. Then afterwards, we felt you'd want to then go back to a low level and grind up to see that high level again."

I don't know about this. That trailer was awful. But the real problem is that there is not enough backstory to go on for this game. I hate the idea. I love the show. This is going to go straight to the budget bin.

I mentioned Netflix because I could have sworn someone mentioned it, though I'm too lazy to go back and look now. However, you have reminded me that I haven't watched my Firefly Blu-Rays yet.



The show is better. You'd probably enjoy Serenity more after watching the show.

I did eventually watch Firefly, and I enjoyed it. It wasn't the greatest thing ever and I won't be joining the fanclubs or drafting fist-shaking letters to Fox, but it was worth the watch. It did make Serenity, the movie, "better" upon re-watch.

This MMO is going to suffer the same fate as Firefly. It is going to be mediocre, get cancelled, and then have a ton of nerd rage about it from people who never played it. The lead developer is going to go on to make an Avengers MMO that is leagues better and the most successful MMO of all time then be given a spinoff game in the same universe and it is going to be worse than the original Firefly game.

The issue was them playing the episodes out of order, which is was important for the story to play out in order.

As for the MMO, I really want to love it. But, will have to wait and see.

I've heard the "they changed the times on us and we didn't know when to watch" excuse from multiple people about why, despite their absolute love, they didn't watch Firefly when it aired.

The show, even in the proper order, just wasn't that good. Get over it already. It didn't draw in ratings. Most of the people always crying about how good it was didn't watch it.

I didn't watch it when it aired because I didn't know it existed, I was playing EQ all night long from 1999 to 2005.

Also, I haven't watched actual preprogrammed TV since for 5+ years either, and may never again. They gotta keep that in mind, a lot of the audience for shows like this is now going to wait for Netflix or something.

I love Firefly, but I do not have high hopes for this game.

cant see any game living up the the Hype (real or not ) this series has generated. Eevn if its good, it will be panned. I love the show, liked the movie... but as the movie showed. "Everybody " thinks firefly should have not been canceled. But actual support when its needed (go to the movie) was not there. This game could be better then sliced bread and people will not compare it well to the "original".

All one can do is hope its good and that the haters are too busy with the age old Sony vs MS, Console Vs PC, COD VS BF etc.. wars they don't flood the game with to much negative talk. Only time will tell. But I'm going to try stay positive.
