Do we need a new thread from you every single time a new beta of firefox is released?

Thanks for the info. It seems like it should be faster than 12 and should automatically update as well if you have that option on.

boochi, you can feel free to ignore these threads if you want to.

Can this feature be turned Off ? ? I like to open a new tab Blank, then I select what site I want to see.

I'd imagine it could. Other browsers such as IE9 have that feature and it can be turned off.

Yet Google Chrome is on 19 and no one says anything about that...

Complaining about the version number has gotten old. Very old.

It just shows you though that the numbering systems are a bit of a farce. For years they were on Firefox 3.x and now it seems every small update needs an entirely new version number.

I, for one, am looking forward to Chrome 32 next year.

It's just bothersome. I like meaningful version numbers. It makes it easier keeping track of things, and how you expect them to work.

Major number=major change. There's a good possibility of something breaking.

10s decimal place=new features, but same core. Things should work as expected.

100s decimal place=security updates.

I liked the older FF numbering as well. The reason nobody is complaining about chrome is because it's been numbered like that from the get go.
