FireFox 2.0 Issue

When I make changes to the navigation toolbar they do not save. They will appear until I restart firefox. The only add-on that is running is the Noia theme. Reinstalling did not work.

One other thing: I recently discovered how to use the bookmark backups that FireFox creates. I lost many bookmarks over various 1.0-1.x updates. Any idea if backups would still exist for those? Did version 1 even create backups?

There used to be extensions just for making backups so I'm gonna guess that, no, earlier versions did not make backups. But if they did, I'm sure you can find them by poking around in the profile folder for a while.

If you simply created new profiles for every update, maybe you've still got different profile folders laying around with the old bookmarks.

Looks like I lost the old bookmarks then. Any idea on the first issue?

How exactly you make changes to nav bar?
There are couple addons that let you totally change the buttons, i.e. you can leave jut the URL bar and a GO button for example.
Sadly, I forgot what they are called, these extensions.

I right click on the nav-bar and deselect the bookmark toolbar and then hit customize. I then add the bookmark icon, the new tab icon, and one separator, and hit done.
