Now if Firefox could just remember the last "save-to" location with any kind of reliability we would be set!
never noticed that issue as I always use Internet Download Manager (the best download manager on the planet) so it always saves to one location that I specified: d >> downloads
it also gives u the ability to easily download any flash / you tube / etc. video by providing a download link next to the video or audio you are viewing

you sure you aren't in the private browsing mode?
I am not using private browsing mode. You only really notice this if you do a bunch of downloads to different directories.
My Firefox 22 seems to remember where I downloaded based on what site I'm downloading from.
For example, if I download desktop wallpapers from The Paper Wall website and then go download some files from various other sites (no matter what they are or how many) and save them in various different folders when I go back to The Paper Wall and download a wallpaper it always seems to default back to the same folder on my PC where I downloaded the earlier desktop wallpaper. If I download something from Deviantart it remembers where I downloaded to and the next time I download from Deviantart it defaults to that folder.
It does this for any and every website I download anything from and I like that.
Every now and then it seems to get confused but not often enough for it to be a problem.
Who cares? Both are fast enough.
Meanwhile, Firefox still can't sandbox, and still can't run separate processes per tab/plugin/etc.
Why do you want that? That would consume a lot of RAM and that is what crappy Chrome does.
Chrome is crap IMHO since customisation is terrible, that's why I use Firefox and old Opera since you get speed, customisation etc...you could not pay me to use Chrome.
I always thought FF was getting faster especially from the old days,it's a great browser that does it all.
Honestly, I do not care if I use Chrome or Firefox. Both are great.

I use firefox for the color management, but I have found its performance to be poor. It easily becomes unresponsive. Just look up something on google images and try to scroll down. I don't think these metrics capture responsiveness. I will try v22 but these updates tend to be extremely minor.http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/chrome-27-firefox-21-opera-next,3534-12.html
