this is a release candidate, the final is scheduled for october 29.

It isn't and whoever said that is wrong.

Release Candidate = is the version which is 98% tested and complete but just to keep the benefit of the doubt, they keep a program on RC for a few days to ensure everyone is happy with it and if any bugs are reported they polish them up there

RTM = Release to Manufcaturing = THAT is final, but isn't released to the public immediately but is released to the OEMs such as HP, ASUS, SONY, etc, so they can preinstall them in the computers they are about to sell. RTMs are 100% safe to use

LOL, well i must be the most exciting person on these forums then!!! i used to run the betas all the time but now i will run the finals but will install these when they hit the FTP.

I know firefox would never reach final without people using firefox beta and reporting problems etc it's just i would never feel comfortable doing online with anything but firefox final.

Yes, the UI is ugly. That is why I use the Firefox 3 Theme For Firefox 4+ 2.0.1
