I just upgraded from Firefox 1.07 because past that, Firefox has a really bad bloat problem that I simply could not handle and so I waited until a supposed version that would resolve this issue and that version I think is Firefox 3. I prefer the visual style of Firefox 1/1.5, I don't like what I'm seeing in Firefox 3 and I want to know what I can do to change this. I like some of the changes that have been done but at the same time annoyed by other changes and or additions. For one thing when I type into the address bar, this obnoxiously slow and annoying bar pops up with suggestions. Secondly I don't like the look of the interface at all, such as the look of the navigation icons with them being disproportionate in size, the addition of the one click favorite icon, the spacing of the nav icons, and a few other things. I do like that instead of prompting me with a text box asking me to save my password, never save it, or do it later when logging into a site, it appears as a bar at the top much like when it asks to install a plugin.
I'm having a lot of mixed feelings for Firefox 3 and I haven't used it long enough to notice any other problems but I did hear that there is still a bloat bug and has some stability issues. Is there any way to rectify these issues? I haven't found much of anything concerning this and I'm wondering why mozilla didn't provide some sort of backward compatibility in terms of the older interface.
