6 weeks really do fly. Seems like it was only yesterday people were complaining about the looks of ff29

Likewise. No apparent visual change - looks good to me!

How did you get or add all those custom buttons ? ? I have some on my Google Toolbar, like Fedex / UPS / USPS tracking as well as buttons to Ymail / Gmail / Google Maps / Google Earth for use as quick shortcuts to. Still don't really like the Australis interface (still tinkering with it to get the look I want)

All of those came from IE8. The main tool I use is the Links Bar with custom buttons. I create the buttons with good old Michaeangelo, and put them in to my Links apps in Win 8 or Win 11. I then import that to FF. The home page also comes from IE. Except for some command and menu differences, my FF30 is visually the same as my IE8 and 11. The layout and homepage comes from My Excite.

I do not use Google Toolbar. I find it tries to take over my actions. All those linksbar buttons are single click. They go directly to the website as labeled. I use my own label names to keep minimum size so more links can be displayed.

In FF, the IE Linksbar becomes the Bookmarks Toolbar. Once "on," each button can be edited with a right click to Properties. That lets me edit the title, icon or both.

I'm still on version 28, with an install of Aurora to check if they still don't support custom windows themes.

They still don't.

Corky, What is Micheaangelo and where do I find it ? Is it a free app ?
I still run XP and I don't have what you call links in W8 .. I do have some custom buttons added to Google Toolbar and wonder if the icons I created (either the ones in IE8 or the ones in Firefox) can be imported like you did,

Well, I misspoke. It is Microangelo. I don't think it is free - I've used it for over 10 years with many upgrades. OK, what I call the links bar is the Favorites bar, and on it I place the programs assigned to the Links folder. Been doing that for years. It is in IE8.

It is derived from how I organize my Favorites. This clip shows - highly organized, and Links is what goes in the Favorites bar. They can then be arranged by sliding and dropping.

The way they paint on the title bar now severely breaks all but the most simple of custom windows theme. It's custom tailored for the default theme, anything else it goes crazy. I have a theme with square window controls (instead of rounded), and that's simple enough, right? Well, when the browser is maximized, the window controls aren't squared. The theme I use day to day though, it's totally unusable, the window controls can't be seen at all, and the glass isn't the same as the one on the theme...

Whatever, I'll just stick with what works, Mozilla has become just another company full of morons, and this custom theme business doesn't even matter when you consider all there rest of the drivel they've been doing TO Firefox.
