firefox 4 beta 7 released

What I'm saying though is everything's silky smooth, but my addon menu is a white blank page. I don't think that blankness is connected to performance.

True. Most likely the case.

I have that problem in beta6. I was hoping 7 would fix it :^(

turns out it was my theme i was using not working with beta 7. i installed new theme for 7 and all is well. there are some out now plus other add ons

Beta 7 is AMAZING. It's SO fast compared to beta 6... I thought beta 6 was great but this one is wicked! And they added a popup inside the address bar that shows you where a link you hover-over leads to - BRILLIANT!

Ultra fast, highly configurable and in my case takes hardly any screen (my tabs are on the title bar). Super smooth scrolling, zooming - this is the best browser I have ever used.

agree, amazing release in comparison to b6, really like how they removed status bar, it's even a superior to how chrome does it imo.
however, can u tell me how u put ur tabs on title bar? it's a major complain i have right now, other one being i would like the big orange firefox icon smaller or use other less aggressive color

Thanks I will check it out. Did your app tabs stay persistent with the last build when you shut down the browser? From what I remember reading it was a pretty common problem.

yes, only problem i have had was with theme that was not working correctly with 7. solved that by going to new theme. there are some out for 7 believe it or not

You can customize it even more, just play around with the userChrome.css file. Works fine in beta 7.

I was able to get the app tabs to save after closing the browser. The problem I had was that I had it set to not save history. Once I changed that, they stayed.

Are you on dial-up? I tried to see where the loading status is getting displayed but I can't find a page that doesn't load instantly..

I love the new clean look.. Just that top title bar remains as wasted space.. At this point they have caught up to Opera for UI and aren't far from Chrome which is the gold standard for clean UI..

I use the status bar for Forecastfox, as well as a handful of other tools. Chrome can go to hell. The only thing it has is speed, and it isn't worth running a stripped down, noobed out interface for an extra couple milliseconds.
