Just did a few tests and I didn't notice any big differences here. Have you tried to delete your FF profile and start fresh? Also, removing flash could also make a difference if you haven't already.

There's definitely something wrong with FF58.0.2 as I can load the very same sights into IE 11 and it only uses a fraction of the memory plus YouTube loads quickly.

i will have to give firefox another go be cause i have been using opera with windows 10

I find it irritating/amusing that in the small amount of time I've been back on Firefox, Mozilla have announced yet another measure to remove functionality that is useful to more knowledgeable users (it's to do with cookie management, IIRC what I've read suggests that they're getting rid of the UI that allows the user to remove specific cookies). I just wonder whether I'll end up going back and forth between Chrome and FF while the latter adds something I appreciate then later removes something I wish they hadn't!

Maybe the next iteration will work better than we expect for it to.

Hold on where did they announce this? If so that sucks!!
Don't know why they would do this!

Is there a manual way to delete cookies? I briefly looked but didn't find where the cookie folder is.

I use the cookie auto delete addon which sort of helps with this but doesn't really replace the functionality of deleting individual cookies manually.

From the ghacks article.
Google Chrome includes an option to list and remove individual cookies, still.
It's good to have options. Firefox is losing too much functionality. It's time to start looking at other options. It's pretty clear Mozilla doesn't give to flips about it's original base of users.

I had to install Chrome a while back just to get certain sites to work. I guess I could go back to Palemoon.
