Please define?

Works fine for me...
Flash games were stuttering for me, however, I found a conflict as two different versions were showing in the plugins so I had to get the removal tool from flash to uninstall it all and then reinstalled the latest version.

What add-on are users replacing Classic Theme Restorer with?

Edit: Disregard. I see that there is no replacement so a browser switch may be necessary.

i'm thinking W7 vs W10 here. i WANT to change to FF, but is the inconvenience bigger than the profit? I've used Chrome for 10 years now, i'm so used to it, to the UI, the features (which occasionally get axed for NO FF**** REASON), all my pron links are there ...

Good luck trying to find one that allows you to customise its UI significantly.

However, the maker of CTR has released a load of userchrome tweaks that work on FF58+, I'm using about 8 or 9 of them. It's a bit more work but I've more or less got FF back to a pre Australis state (with the exceptions of the status bar and downloads window, which I had legacy add-ons for).

I tried out Vivaldi but was it the cookie management options or new tab functionality / customisability that let me down? I don't remember.
Chrome's download functionality always bugs me (ie. no open file functionality, just save or ask where to save), but otherwise I got on with it for a couple of years recently.
I'm on Win7 so no Edge.
IE's functionality with regard to a lot of things is pretty minimal in comparison to what I do with FF, plus the performance difference.
Seamonkey is just a buggier version of pre 58 FF.

Problem with latest Firefox builds is a lot of the old extensions just don't work period, I don't blame FF as they have moved forward with their FF development, but it does reduce options to customisation etc... I still prefer Vivaldi for many reasons, end of the day no browser is perfect and we all have to weigh the pros and cons of every browser out there.

I will say stability has improved in FF since quantum builds so that is a plus. One of my favourite extensions and for many users is Tab Mix Plus, which does not work in latest versions of FF (still no official version for FF if there ever will be one).

FF lost me to Vivaldi, since with Vivaldi I know where I'm as to what does work etc...

Why not? Try going to it temporarily and see how it is - you may like it better. I'm sure there are ways to import settings, duplicate functionality, etc.

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure if I'm capable of making those tweaks. Totally new territory for me.

To be honest I run a pretty clean UI but I love my bottom status/add-on bar. Noscript and my ad blocker have called that bar home for years. I also like my tabs below the address bar where they belong.

That's very good news. It never made sense to me why they wouldn't be adjacent to the page you're viewing.
It sorta makes logical sense to have them on top. That puts the address bar within the viewed page so the two are associated. I disagree with that approach. To me, the address bar and other crap are /browser parts/ used to control the browser, and are only tangentially associated with the current page. Tabs on top also requires more movement to switch tabs. I despise tabs on top.

For me i prefer tabs on top. With tabs on the bottom or below the address bar I have to take in to account vertical mouse movement while having tabs on top means that as long as my mouse reaches the top of the screen I'm good. Also depending on your mouse grip it might be easier to move the move upward than downward. In my case, with my mouse on the center of the screen and my hands in neutral position, I can easily move the mouse upwards with my fingertips. Moving it downwards the mouse hits my palm slightly requiring a little bit more force.

I'm digging FF and it works much better for me than IE did while still providing a menu interface. I hate edge and chrome for not giving me drop down menus.

You can have them on the left or right side as well with Vivaldi .

I've noticed that if I have a couple of tabs open for any length of time that FF's memory use grows to in excess of 5gb of ram and it becomes pokey slow.

There's definitely something wrong with FF58.0.2 as I can load the very same sights into IE 11 and it only uses a fraction of the memory plus YouTube loads quickly.
