FireFox user? Update to 2.0.0.4

If you use FireFox, update to version 2.0.0.4. download page, all versions, all platforms. The release notes indicate there's functionality and security fixes in there.

While you're at it, check your Windows rigs with Secunia's online checkup. There's a new security patch for QuickTime, for starters.

I find it funny, it complains that the JRE 6.0.0.1 is not compatible, but it runs fine.

I use it on a Win2000 system to see what kind of exploits the bad guys are setting up for FireFox users. Don't know about slower or faster, but it's managing to haul in some malicious SWFs and WMFs in real-life websites. Ok, show of hands, who's using non-Admin user accounts like I keep urging? :evil:

Not I. I use Windows for gaming and TeamSpeak (still can't get Enemy Territory and Linux working at the same time in Linux).

A Linux user ought to know better than to run stuff as root when it isn't necessary :evil::beer:

Follow up: I uninstalled/re-installed v. 2.0.0.4 and it seems to be working much better. :thumbsup:
