OK - i've recently been making an honest effort to use and become familiar with FireFox internet browser, having become acsustomed to MS's Internet Explorer. Like so many others, i would rather move away from IE until its security issue has been given a clean bill of health.

Anyways, so far i'm quite liking the fresh feel of the whole thing and alotta things about FireFox i prefer now to the way IE would do it.

Having said that, one thing that really annoys me about FireFox is its very poor FLASH ANIMATION playback. It isnt as smooth as IE's, and when there are more than a few animations on screen, all playing at the same time, its playback is dreadful.

The original FireFox i d/l'ed and installed had no flash plugin - i was prompted to d/l that after. Did i perhaps d/l the wrong one? Or is FireFox's flash just poor - full stop?

Seems okay for me, but maybe my comp is fast enough for me not to notice (P4 2.5G). What movies are you trying to play? www.homestarrunner.com works well for me.

Pretty much every site with a decent sized animation. The animation looks OK most times i suppose, but then when u open the same page in IE, you can usually tell that there is a noticable diff in playback between the two browsers. FireFox's pretty much always looks a lil stuttery in comparison to IE's.

Post some example sites that look bad for you, and maybe other people can test them out to see how it performs on their rigs.
