because i dont like spending 9 bucks on a sub and get nothing but a paper thin slice of meat and a mouth full of bread, there needs to be a balance of the two. JJ does it because bread is cheap, meat expensive so cut back on meat, charge more for bread = profit. i understand that and why i feel like im getting ripped off.

But we already know you're wrong because 1) a JJ sandwich is 6 bucks, and 2) the bread to meat ratio is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Subway. America has been duped by the $5 (or more) footlong. I've got Jimmy John's, Firehouse, and Which Wich 5 minutes from the house. I like all three, but go to Jimmy John's more often because they have a drive through and I'm lazy. Unfortunately, the nearest Potbelly is ~20 minutes away.

I have had many crappy home made sandwiches. People think they have it down. Same with grilling, BBQing, cooking and baking.

Local delis are everywhere, the franchise market caters to the road warrior that just wants what they are used to.

That said when I am on the road I am searching up the best restaurant/brewery type of place. Fuck a sub on the road.

Many can't spend that dough so they want to make sure their money is well spent rather than a wasted meal.

My wife likes the engineer and I like the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. I get their turkey bacon ranch sub when I want something different from there.

My favorite sub shop is the Lenny's by my house.

The nearest Subway to me seems to be higher than in the past. For two dollars more I can get a much better deal at Lenny's.
