Firesale at Gateway stores !!!

Hit the Gateway store a few minutes ago and I got:

2 x 15" LCDs for $116

1 x 15" LCD for $150

Logitech Winman Forcefeed wheel for $20


Not bad ...

Went to the local gateway store and they did have awesome deals on display items (15LCD's for $100, 17" LCD's for $175, etc..). Nothing really great on stock items though, most were not even onsale as the sales guy said they were gonna ship back what they didn't sell. All the display items were already gone when I got there, so I went home with nothing.

According to sales people the display items should be going on sale Monday so get there early the store opens at 10.

Edit: This is at the RI store. Also there isn't much display stuff in general. Plus I also found out you can buy the couch for around two to three hundred.

Picked up four 15" LCD display models for $478.

Also got an Epson CX5400 All-In-One display for $46.

BTW, the Beaverton and Jantzen Beach, Oregon stores are out of Plasmas and LCDs.

Still worth looking at, though.

Nothing left at Duluth GA one except desktops and some expensive laptop and people were camping the cameras already when i got there and no more LCDs left

went to 2 store. All digi cam gone (many gateway 4M, 5M in stock). Canon A70 for $168... too bad none there.
The other store list the display price. There was a s400. display model for $11X. and A80 for $11X. I looked at the S400. Many scatch. No sure it works. So skip it.

have not read about gateway's digi cam so do not go for it.

Many 15" gatway LCD monitor also in box. The CSR was joking with a customer (who got the last Canon DV cam for $2XX), who will buy a 15" for over 400....

Yeah, On the first store, all big TVs has "sold" sign. When i talked with the CSR about price. The other CSR walked by, and walked to the TVs and switched them off. My CSR joke with another CSR said, "Oh, he's back to turn his TVs off, so they can less hours on them...."
so nothing new, CSR got their hands on first.

Picked up at 15 inch LCD at Crapway store in Mt. Laurel, NJ for $100. Not much left other than a few accesories. All the TVs were there BUT employees snagged them.

grr I went to the one in North Olmsted, OH, and the girl there said the employees got all the good stuff. I saw them buying 3 15" LCD's as I walked in and asked about them. The wouldn't even sell me a CRT.

If anyone wants to sell me either a 15" or 17" LCD please PM me!!

Just got back from my Gateway store and it appears nothing has changed.
All the demo crap is still being demoed and all the TV's are still in place and demoing.
I ask the employees about any deals and they said they had some open box stuff and thats it. They have yet to hera what will happen to all the crap in the store but suspect some direction this week. They were told that next friday (9th) is the last day the store will be open and 1 week later they will all be out of a job. Hope they have a great sale, I just want a screen or a nice TV. They do not answer the phone anymore.

Makes me wish I went to the Orlando store! My Jax store had lots of monitors and plasmas but none were sellable, apparently. The Mgr claims they will be available to buy in the next few days, but currently they are marked in his systems as DISPLAY UNIT, and so he is unable to sell them.

That or the CSR already bought them all, and he's just lying to every customer who walks in the door.

went to the des moines store, had a gateway 20gb mp3 player for $150, and a creative labs 30gb zen for $115 (i so wish i had the money to have bought that). they did have a 42" plasma screen tv for $1999, but that was sold, salesman said that somebody came, and put $13000 down on the table and bought all the store plasma screens

You are dam right, i went in there and nothing is only sale. Wfay, are those 17" monitor LCD for $112?

My store didn't have any monitors on sale by the time I got there. They have display units that will be available to buy "at some point" which probably means Monday, but as of right now, they have no price and cannot be sold at my store.
