Thinner, lighter and longer battery life.
Also, people forget the higher price is because of the touch screen.

Gah. The resolution itself is enough to turn me away.
Its nice to finally have Jaguar-based laptops, but this should be priced a little lower. An extra $30 buys an ASUS X202E, 2.9lbs 11.6'' W8 touchscreen laptop based on an Ivy Bridge i3 ULV + 4GB RAM.
I for one would take that Asus over the Acer, but I'm wondering if $30 is enough to sway most buyers to get the cheaper Acer laptop.
The only people who would purchase the Acer over the Asus are ones that are woefully misinformed. With the Acer you are paying the new technology premium which, as previous posters have mentioned, should disappear in a few months.

You are comparing list price of one product and sale price of another. Nobody will actually pay list price for the Acer, they will buy it for $299 or so "on sale".
($400 list price + 4GB RAM would be much better).
Dont expect a much lower price at launch. It might get lower over time though, and maybe there are cheaper and better Temash laptops coming, but this Acer is not a great deal at that price ($400 list price + 4GB RAM would be much better).
$400 seems a bit much for a laptop with a CPU that's the replacement for the E450. These are the new netbook/tablet CPUs and as wonderful as they are for their niche I wouldn't pay more than $300 for one, maybe $350 if it came with 4GB RAM and an SSD.
That said I can't stop thinking about how these are going to make great little NAS CPUs.
