I don't get why filming things like this is so popular now. It's all over YouTube with cyclists/ATV's/Dirtbikes, etc. The only people that would want to see that is the person filming it I would assume.

And get some kind of suspension on your phone mount. The shaking was pretty bad, even at the low speeds you started at.

As for who watches these things? I do. I've even watched videos of guys driving through mud on four wheelers in Wayne Forest. Better by far than 95% of television shows.

Ignore the ignorant haters. There is nothing wrong with vertical orientation for your video. The field of interest is primarily vertical. It ain't your fault people jumped on the stupid-wide monitor bandwagon.

I keep thinking about recording my rides but then I remember that 90% of each video would be boring to watch. I don't do massive jumps or anything. Even the 10% of flying down hills wouldn't be impressive on video since they don't really show speed or steepness very well. I do waste a lot of time watching the crazy downhillers on youtube though.

Best way to mount a camera is on the frame shooting forward or back, something that shows suspension movement and gives a greater sense of speed. I made some decent footage of riding DH with a contour HD on my frame, but it screwed up the optics in the camera after 1 run. Probably gonna get a GoPro eventually to play with.
