Well there are several schools of thought on your mixing a p965 with a 6600, Mostly from what I gather your best bet is to go with a 975 board. 965 is best for 6400/6300. Secondly, I would look for a better cooler, tuniq, 120, or even a zalman 9500. These things are very strange when it comes to cooling them. If you are going to oc, and you are by the purchases. I would definately upgrade the cooler to the best you can get/afford. Other than those two things nice build. I am sure you will be happy with your purchase. Ofcourse,if money is there you may REALLY want to take a look at the 680i board, 1 word for those so far NICE.

You Might want to re-think your PSU and Memory.

The OCZ PSU has Quite a bit of Ripple....

That Memory is Elpida Chips.... and not very able to run in different modes.

Any of the below listed memory is Micron D9 based.

All the 975X motherboards on newegg have 2x PCI-16 slots, which I don't need. The brand-name Asus ones are over $200, which I can't afford. The AC Pro are the best for the price, so that's why I got them. I don't plan on overclocking too much, so it really isn't worth it to me to get an expensive CPU cooler.

Mr Fox - I heard DS3 has problems iwth the Micron D9 chips, so that is why I didn't choose them. Also, can you recommend any better PSU's, I will probably upgrade to a 8800GTX video card in one or two years, so I need a PSU capable for handling that.

Check thru the PSUs jonnyguru.com has reviewed.

Here's one of many good ones: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817139001

As for RAM, do not get that Corsair unless you are not OCing, & even still, i wouldn't suggest it.
There is far better RAM for the money.

Get something from the list Mr Fox mentions, as yes, that is far more scaleable RAM.

Your HSF is not terribly good.
Better than stock, but not great.

Tuniq Tower, Scythe Ninja/Infinity, Thermaltake Big Typhoon, Zalman 9500/9700 - there are a few better ones.

Two things.

I think there are better choices other then OCZ. You certainly don't need this much power but the 550 watt Seasonic Enegy Plus S12 is better unit of roughly equivalent power.

If you are buying XP Home for the upgrade to Vista you should know that the "Home" version entitles you to only the lowest end version of Vista with many features removed, including Glass.

Yeah 7900 GS OCs very well, & it's actually very comparable to the X1950 Pro even at stock, so i'd stick with it.

But either card is good.
