very sweet

only a raptor for HDD tho?

man thats awesome, its always good when u DIY, you know picked firs rate parts....and the pleasure you get from having it post and work flawless first time round is un-matched (except for sex maybe....but your too young for that )

i dont think i even knew about computers at 13.....there were boxes that played games, and then boxes that you could type home work on.

i built my rig i have now sept 2004. £1600 the most money i ever spent in one go. getting the upgrade itch now though, and i coulda done it. but i went to NYC with about £800, changed it all to $ and spent it on PSP, camera etc.

MAD PROPS TO YOU!

When I was a kid, I had an abacus! Had to build it myself too. Wasn't good for too many games though. And to make it worse, this was only 1994!

looking hot!. Am scrounging my parts together as well. Still doubting to wait for the new line of ATI cards or just go for the 7800GTX. CPU, soundcard and mobo will be bought in two weeks, and have the case PSU, HDD's and Memory gathering dust till I can finally start building the damn thing. Can't wait, as it will be my first DIY build as well. Anyways, your system really looks nice and tidy, and some kickass specs as well

YOUR SO LUCKY!!!! I wanted to build my own pc too (i'm 13 also), but my dad said "it's too risky" "what if something goes wrong" "we'll lose all that money if you break it". I got an e-machines with a radeon express mobo, and an amd athlon 3200+ (winchester). I put in a 6600GT, zalman vf700-CU, sound blaster audigy 2 zs, a floppy drive (which took considerable case modding), and a hard drive fan (more case modding). And it turns out the 300W power supply which came with the computer isn't really strong enough do drive all that. So I told my dad that if I got a new power supply, I would need a new case to fit it in (the case is mATX). But then, that might not fix the problem because the CPU fan is really cheap, and that could be what is crashing it. After two months of this, my dad said I could build my next computer, in 2 years. Oh well, That will be around vista time so I suppose it won't be all that bad. Nice rig man, and congrats.

Great job! When I was 13 all I had was a 486 running at 33mhz. With 4mbs of ram. 100megs of hard drive. Don't even know what the video card was, if there was one at all.

Nice build. Now that you've built your first killer rig, the next phase can begin: discovering the magic of suicidal hardware depreciation. You've a few months, though, so enjoy being at/around the top!

when I was 13 they didn't have computers.
When I was 13, we didn't even have abaci. We counted on our fingers, and used large-scale slave labor for protein folding. And we were happy, damn it.

hell that deserves a cig!
It certainly does! Lucky Strike, maybe?

Guys, this took me over a year to build. The money came from various sources, such as my past two birthdays, christmas, and odd job money.

oh, and congrats.

Thank you, I take that as a nice complement. I strive to be as well spoken as I can anywhere I go, especially on these forums. The stereotypical 13 year old would type in the following manner - "hEY guyz, chek out tha neW l33t rigz0rZ that i spent building 4 a year that i used lots of money for that i got doing things that really was fun and i built this in a hour but it was hard and it started the first time".

That's one reason why I try to use proper grammar. Plus, why not try to sound intelligent?

Nice rig you got there. how much was it?

Anyway i am 17 and i got my self computer which was a dell when i was 14 and i ripped the card and put a AMD 3000+ venice and a s939 mobo. so you see its wasnt until i was 17 i got to actually a build the comp which i considered a peice of cake after 5 years of research.

anyway enjoy your rig but dont forget to study.
