That's good. Keep trying to write well on forums and eventually you'll probably sound like a Victorian gentleman or an engineer, both of which appear much smarter than the average illiterate forumgoer.Thank you, I take that as a nice complement. I strive to be as well spoken as I can anywhere I go, especially on these forums. The stereotypical 13 year old would type in the following manner - "hEY guyz, chek out tha neW l33t rigz0rZ that i spent building 4 a year that i used lots of money for that i got doing things that really was fun and i built this in a hour but it was hard and it started the first time".
That's one reason why I try to use proper grammar. Plus, why not try to sound intelligent?
Hey, you can't be picky when you're 13. If you start on Lucky Strike, almost everything you try afterwards will taste good in comparison. It's the same principle as that behind raising kids on skim milk, or hitting yourself so that you feel good when you stop.I'd rather walk around and pick up old butts'

Thanks. I think I'm going to get one of those Sunbeam Lightbuses to replace my Nexus, as it controls lights AND fans at once, thus consolidating all of the fan wires into one area.

YOUR SO LUCKY!!!! I wanted to build my own pc too (i'm 13 also), but my dad said "it's too risky" "what if something goes wrong" "we'll lose all that money if you break it". I got an e-machines with a radeon express mobo, and an amd athlon 3200+ (winchester). I put in a 6600GT, zalman vf700-CU, sound blaster audigy 2 zs, a floppy drive (which took considerable case modding), and a hard drive fan (more case modding). And it turns out the 300W power supply which came with the computer isn't really strong enough do drive all that. So I told my dad that if I got a new power supply, I would need a new case to fit it in (the case is mATX). But then, that might not fix the problem because the CPU fan is really cheap, and that could be what is crashing it. After two months of this, my dad said I could build my next computer, in 2 years. Oh well, That will be around vista time so I suppose it won't be all that bad. Nice rig man, and congrats.

not everyone gets their computers from their parents. I built my first computer at 14, and I paid for it out of my own pocket (although it only cost $400). When I built a new computer this year (I'm 16), I once again paid for the whole thing out of my pocket - the thought of a new computer was the only thing that had made me able to survive work at my old job, which I hated.Originally posted by: V00D00

Yeah, at our school (wade and i go to the same school, I'm a grade above him), they incessantly burn correct grammar into our brains... Really.. I mean, I cant knowingly type a sentence with agreement errors anymore. In fact, I think I proofread this post about nine times...Originally posted by: Waylay00

On a seperate, but somewhat related note, you are very well spoken (or typed, as it were) for a 13 year old. (Other than the 1 typo that I found)
oh, and congrats.
