The only last question is the DVD burner. In the past two months has anything come about (dual layer) that would be better? I could just wait a month or two on the burner if they are close, I dont know I havent really been paying too much attention lately due to working so much.

Get the NEC dual layer burner

Also, drop that PSU down to 500 watts or so. What you have now is mega overkill. Use the extra money left over to get some quality name brand RAM.

well, there are several dual layer dvd burners. nec makes very good and cheap ones and they go 8x. i think a majority of the people here would vote for nec for their quality and price.

I agree with the above poster, a 550W power supply is complete overkill for your computer. Save $40 and get the Antec True 430.

Get the newcastle, 2.2ghz/512k L2 cache version of the 3200+ instead, it is faster and almost $40 cheaper.

If you want quiet case fans, get Panaflo's, they are quieter than Vantec Stealths. You can get them here.

Nice system you got there, just one question. Where are you ordering the BFG 6800 GT from? They don't seem to be in stock in too many places.

Looks fine for the most part. If you plan on overclocking, however, it's imperative that you switch the motherboard to something with an nForce3 250 or K8T800 Pro chipset - MSI K8N Neo Platinum, Epox 8KDA3(+/J), Asus K8N-E Deluxe, Abit KV8 Pro. If you're not, then switch the 3200+ to a 2.2GHz 512K version, as it's faster at stock speeds.
Also, your power supply looks like it'd be way overkill, but if you're just being paranoid about it that's fine I suppose.

i got same replies a few years back when my 256MB system memory and my 250W psu was overkill. huh.

Ok thanks for the suggestions. I got the newcastle version of the 3200+, but I am not planning on OCin so I will stay with the board. Oh and this may sound dumb but will I need the 3 pin connector for the panaflo fans?
