Sonic and Sega All Star Racing Transformed. Absolutely fantastic card racer that is seems very few people are talking about.

I also bought Crysis 3, Tomb Raider, and Bioshock Infinite.

I know, right? That game's absolutely bitchin'. It's been a loooong time since I've had that much fun in a racing game.

GW2, starting to regret it.

I'm waiting for that one to pop up on Steam. I had some enjoyment with Guild Wars, and most people say that Guild Wars 2 is pretty good.

XCOM when it was on sale a couple weeks ago

I got XCOM as well, but I didn't technically buy it as it came for free with Bioshock infinite. So looking forward to playing that game when I get home tonight!

Youtube videos look good... I'm actually tempted. But I'd rather have a racer on a console at least, so I'd probably opt for Xbox version.

I've actually played it for Vita, PS3, and PC (and own it on Vita and PC). I would normally go for the PS3 version myself, but I bought it for PC because I wanted to play MP with my friends.

I didn't buy any games this year due to the large backlog. I've been playing Risen 2 since I'm a sucker for "Gothic" games. Certainly a letdown from Risen, but I'm still enjoying it.

Age of Empires II HD. Completely took me by surprise, I had no idea it was even in the works. Immediately purchased upon finding out about it.

I have no idea (I bought a ton of games at the end of last year and beginning of this year), but the games I played most so far tbis year are Crusader Kings 2, and Tropico 4. Both are very good.

Hitman Absolution is my current game, and I like it. The checkpoint system can get frustrating, but I still very much enjoy sneaking around and not getting caught, while leaving no innocent casualties. While the gameplay is better than Dishonored in my opinion, I like that you never have to kill anyone in Dishonored at all. It would be awesome if more games allowed non-violent solutions like that.

I don't remember if I picked up anything on Steam's New Years sales, but I bought Tomb Raider on the 13ths. It did not disappoint. I've got the PS3 Uncharted games on the way too, so I suppose those count even though they aren't new.

Really? I've been debating this one for a while. I re-subbed to WoW and I'm starting to wonder why.

It kinda took the wind out of my sails when i got a infraction on their official forums last week for not being psycic. Sent in request for verification of why i got infracted and basically got trolled by the mods getting told i pretty much have to be psycic.

I then decided that if this is how they handle customer service issues sinking any serious time into the game might be a mistake.

TLDR version of infraction:

1. Post in thread titled "Whats the most fun thing to do in GW2 right now" saying "Posting in the they deleted my guild thread 2 topics down from this one"

2. Hours go by, the deleted guild thread gets out of hand, 4000+ views and 300+ replies in a few hours, mostly trolls.

3. They delete the deleted guild thread completly, poof gone, no mod notes just gone.

4. I get infraction for post made saying ""Posting in the they deleted my guild thread 2 topics down from this one" because it apparantly is "Please do not make posts that contest the actions of a moderator. If you wish to appeal the action of any moderator, please send an e-mail to forums@arena.net for review." Even though post was posted and timestamped hours before any moderation action was taken.

5. I send e-mail to support pointing out my post was made hours before any moderation action was taken and how can i know what they are going to moderate hours into the future and get this response: "Threads can be edited by their authors. Posting "Reading the they deleted my guild thread 2 posts down from this one right now" can only be taken as contesting the actions of the moderators. Whether that's how you intended it to sound or not, that's the way it comes across and as such, had to be removed." Note that my post was not edited or timestamped at all after i originally posted it so reply is complete troll BS response.

So basically im supposed to be psycic. I have timestamps and screenshots proving my case, they dont care, apparanly being psycic is required to post on their forums.

So you regret your purchase because of some crappy forum moderators, who likely have nothing to do with the actual game?

Its the same people who handle in game customer service, i have delt with the exact same CSR that trolled in the forums for in game issues in the past.

EDIT: to add to this if it was just idiot forum mods i would just stop posting in the forum, but it appears to me they use the same CSR's for both forums and in game issues, which is a issue IMO when they are allowed to troll the user/playerbase.

I haven’t purchased any games this year. I wait for games to drop really cheap first.

First and only game purchase of the year was Kingdom of Amalur. I tried to buy it long ago when it came out, but I didn't have a CC from the states and steam refused my Chinese accounts... so I pirated the game, played it for a day or two (then deleted) and decided to buy it later... so fast forward to last week and it was on sale at gamefly for $7.49 and my payment was accepted through them.. I'm waiting til I pick up my new rig next month before I play it though.

Kinda feel bad for not buying the game before, seeing as they went out of business... but better late than never, eh?

xcom: enemy unknown.
9/10 really good, just a few little niggles I have with it. It is a truly wonderful remake of the classic (which I still own and play on my 386).

I don't remember the first game I paid for this year, but I believe I got these.

Sleeping Dogs
Braid
Kane & Lynch 2
Red Faction Complete Bundle
Rayman Origins
From Dust
Far Cry 3
Kingdoms of Amalur Complete Pack
Torchlight II

I also got Crysis 3 and Bioshock Infinite for free through AMD.

Pretty sure Ni no Kuni, followed by Fire Emblem Awakening.

Ni no Kuni had me grinning ear to ear for quite some time. Despite numerous flaws, easily my favorite game this whole generation. Unforgettable.

Borderlands and Fallout 3 had me as well as numerous others, but Ni no Kuni is its own special heartfelt experience that I haven't felt since SNES/PS1 era when RPGs were in their prime.

SC2:HOTS. Playing multiplayer now after finishing the campaign. While the campaign missions were good, the story was a bit disappointing.
