How are "sSpecs " better than normal specs like on the main AnandTech website?

I'm not going to give the linked ".gr" site my ever-so-valuable traffic without a better reason than a double-s

The S-Spec, meaning the processor info.

Eg: Pentium-4 2.4Ghz SL6Z3 is a highly sought after overclocker, compared to the 2.4Ghz SL6WF

Oh yeah, thanks! I've seen S-Spec before but never as sSpec. And I don't pay attention to them since I'm too lazy to overclock

omicron(that's greek too ) I made this matrix just to be easier for us to see the steppings. The site of intel I think is wrong about the core steppings it's not C1 but C0.

That is pretty ballsy to say the company who makes them is wrong about the stepping...LOL!!!

The Dev team has absolutely no say in what goes on the website.

There have been errors before.

OK....Then SOKI in your wisdom as I assume a non-Intel cpu engineer or employee how would you know this??? What is your proof or evidence to claim this is wrong???? Can't just make a statment like that but need to back it up....

By the way it's not so difficult to understand that is a typo error, C1 used to be an old northwood core stepping.
"C1" isn't exclusive to Northwood (or any other processor.) As steppings change, they go through a progression starting with 'A'... When only a portion of the stepping changes (i.e. one mask change), then the number increases. If there is a C1, then there was a C0 prior to it. (Keep in mind that not all steppings and revisions go to retail.)

It's a typical recipe for any processor and stepping numbers repeat themselves with different processes.

So you are saying that a nortwood and a prescott has the same core stepping?

No, I am not saying the steppings are of the same design... Just of the same name.

IN a recent comparsion test the northwood out performed the prescott in almost every test but intel will get it ramped up than look out. Not to change the subject but I have noticed that the P4's from malassia don't overclock as well as the one's from Porta Rico. GO figure
