New York is agreeing to it and it will "apparently" be administered by the school district. It falls into the realm of the public school district, therefore it's a government institution regardless of where the money comes from.

so your saying before people are sexually matured they know they are going to be gay? Maybe i was a late bloomer but i never really even thought about sex until i was at least 12-13 and even then it just crossed my mind it was until i was 14+ that it came to the forefront of my thoughts.

I don't see a problem with it. Most of the money doesn't seem to be coming from the city and it's true that gays get barraged at most schools with crap they don't need.

Straight kids are the majority. A more appropriate comparison would be racial segregation.

Exactly. They're already going to get flak from people in the real world. Do they really need to deal with it at school as well? If the government doesn't pay for it, then private parties should be well within their rights to sponsor this stuff. It's not like you consciously make a choice to be gay or straight, I believe.

To me its big apples to small apples and small apples to big apples. Educational segregation when they are all on an equal intellectual level (no special needs) is just plain wrong but it becomes ok when people cry enough. If white people had been the minority and decided to segregate from a black majority would that have been ok?

Harrassment is harrassment. Whether it's emotionally ruining a person for life or killing them so that they don't have to suffer for the rest of a miserable one, it's still harrassment. I don't see any difference between killing a black kid because he's black, killing a white kid because he's white, or belittling a homosexual all the time because he's homosexual. It shouldn't happen.
