It looked like shit when I saw the first pic of it.

All I had in my head was this was the B (ok probably C or D) version of the Avengers, it was Go Bots to Transformers.

The hell it was. Because ask any kid back in the (what late 80's early 90's?) opening up a present for Xmas and if they got either Devastator or some gd Go Bots, which do you think they'd answer with?

Go bots sucked because that's what your parents bought you when they asked the clerk at the store about some "robot" toy instead of getting the real thing.

I saw the new Ghostbusters. I thought it sucked. I'll probably never watch it again. The acting was horrible, aside from the office assistant. The leads were brainless without a hint of funny in their bodies.

I saw the movie before it was released to the general public. Big whoop. It was on the net before it was released - as are probably more than 50% of movies today.

The Dark Night was an excellent movie. Re-watchable and interesting. Man of Steel was ok.

But here's the thing. Those are my opinions. I'm not going to try to run to some internet hipster who blabs about statistics to prove my opinion. I don't need to - because it's my opinion.

Trying to argue your opinion as if it was fact is stupid. Trying to rely on internet nerds to do so is doubly stupid.

This is known, dummy, and has been talked about before and since the film's release.

Oh look, your favorite boyfriend (well, when his use of statistics only agrees with what you want him to be telling you) has something to tell you about audience ratings:

http://fivethirtyeight.com/features...t-example-of-how-internet-ratings-are-broken/

How many of those reviews arrived before the fricking movie was even released to the general public?

wow Sp33dy--you are just willfully dumb.

LOL! again, see above. The only better-acted role in TDK was Ledger--that is it and you know it. Caine and Oldman were as good as they always are. Cavill is a far better Supes than Bale ever was for Batman.

the general population also thinks The Shawshank Redemption is the greatest thing ever. Please....

Go bots where what your parents got if they couldn't afford Transformers. =(

I enjoyed Warcraft, thanks in no small part to being extremely familiar with the lore and being able to fill in all the gaps. But I still wouldn't say it hit it out of the park.

It didn't even make it to first base.

If that link was to Mask of the Phantasm I could accept the argument.

Keaton's Batman didn't age well.
No it didn't, at all

After rewatching them I much prefer Nolans movies. They have their problems, but if I'm rating them by what I want to watch again it's always the Nolan movies

This movie looked like shit from the moment I saw the first trailer. Not surprised.
It's already been mentioned, but the thing that stood out to me the most was the oversexualized female, not because it adds to the intrigue but just because they wanted some T&A for the young male demographic. Kinda like the disrobing woman in Wrath of Khan version 2.0. It was just stupid and out of place.

And I just imagined Will Smith playing the same role yet again. It was fine Fresh Prince and Bad Boys, and great in Men In Black but it gets old after a while. And I see on his IMDB page there is a Bad Boys 3 and Bad Boys 4 coming. Really?!?

Bad Boys for Life. Did you not get the memo in part 1?

Suicide squad is now exactly 1/3 on RT, but fares even worse with the top critics, at exactly 1/4.
Wow. 29% on RT now, with top critics at 19%.

Mind you, that's not too different from Chronicles of Riddick, and I didn't hate that movie. But I get the feeling I would dislike Suicide Squad, for the reasons mentioned earlier. So, I'll wait for Netflix.

No, I guess I'm late to the party. Or more accurately, I'll probably skip the party entirely, at least for BB3 and BB4.

Keaton is easily at worst the 2nd best, and a significant number would rank him first still.

Marvel still unloading the bricks trucks from the last movie, and while on the DC side they aren't as stellar theb overall $$ count still higher than most other films.

Even mediocre X-men films bringing in a substantial amount and in the current Era of sequels being more worthwhile that new properties, and dip is still a decade away at least.

I never liked the looks of this movie, it was trying too hard to be edgy and extreme. DC has good things going with Arrow, why not use those villains for this movie?

I had them all and liked them all. gobots, transformers, all the voltrons, and even M.A.S.K. to the superior Gi Joe.

Hey... I don't mind seeing Alice Eve in her unmentionables.
She's good looking, but the scene had zero relevance to the movie, so it just stood out for that reason.

It reminds me of a scene way, way back in a James Bond movie, where they decided to have a close up of the phone he used, which was IIRC a Sony Ericsson dumb phone (pre-smartphone era). It made absolutely no sense to have that closeup scene, except as a Nokia product placement, so it stuck out like a sore thumb.

BTW, the original screenwriter now regrets putting that disrobing scene in Into The Darkness. Even he thought it was stupid, and he wrote it.

Voltron was separate from Transformers, at least IMO. Never heard of MASK.

Keaton IS Batman. Batman (Keaton/Nicholson) is still the best Batman movie ever.

Best thing is, the further away we get from the nolan movies, the more people go back to keaton.

While the later may be better overall, MK did a hell of a job starting the superhero era.
