First trip to the liquour store

i dunno. if you havent had beer and you start with high end stuff, you may not like it until you acquire a taste for decent, but not expensive, beer. thats how it was with me. i tried a few things suggested in many beer threads and disliked them because the flavors were overpowering or alien.

Regular Jameson sucks, and the high end varieties are only tolerable. Get Black Bush for a Very nice Irish, or Tulamore Dew for a decent Irish at a moderate price. In general, don't buy cheap spirits. There's some exceptions, but you usually get what you pay for. A bad spirit can unfairly put off to a style that would have tasted great if you'd spent the money for something good.
