This has actually been out for about a week now - I've run it, it's pretty cool (moreso when you read the extra information provided about what, exactly, is going on). Some of the things the water does are pretty impressive, e.g. forming puddles and circulating around was one would expect.

Haven't tried the demo (don't wanna upgrade to Vista yet)...I'm sure it's nice...BUT...I wish there was a DX10 game to try it out.

Ran it on my 8800GTS and the framerates aren't impressive.

It only runs on Vista. I tried it sometime last week and it ran relatively well although at times I could see jerkiness. It depends on various texture, distance, lighting, etc. (which are user-controllerable) Unfortunately I couldn't tell the exact numbers because FRAPS doesn't work with Vista at this time.

Unfortunately, it does seem to show there will be room for sli afterall

I had compromised (motherboard stability) and just got 1 card ...and then again with reduced memory. But this video demonstrates tha whatever saving yo get will be spent on richer detail )

I looked at the Flight Simulator X video by the same guy, and he was mentioning fps. He never broke 30fps with 8800GTX SLI!!!!

Even if that WAS at a high resolution, damn we're in for a spanking with this generation of games...I guess that's to be expected I suppose as it seems the last couple of generations of video cards have struggled with some games.

Ran the demo and was fairly impressed. Minor tearing because vsync was off, but overall smooth. Performance seemed fine on my 8800GTS w/ E6600. Not that the CPU should matter, since G80 is handling EVERYTHING in the scene... physics, geometry creation, rendering.

Exactly... It doesn't look THAT great until you read the extra information that comes with it.

I've had this demo for about a week now. It runs good on 8800GTX. NO SLI. Please remember DX10 SLI is not available at the moment so it doesnt matter if you have 1 or 2 cards. I had a few jerkiness for a few seconds at the beginning, probably until the textures were loaded into memory then it ran smooth. Couldn't get FPS, FRAPS don't work in Vista for now.
