Fit and Performance of Arctic Cooling Pro 64 and Asus A8N-E

Looks like I'm getting the Arctic Cooling Pro 64 to got with my Asus A8N-E
Any A8N-E owners out there have any fit problems with the Pro 64? I'm looking at the DIMM slots wondering if clearance is a problem. What direction does it point in the Asus A8N-E?
Looks like it should be a big inprovement over the stock HSF. Thanks

i have a freezer 64 pro. good for the mild overclocking i do. but on my board(dfi nf4 ultra) it doesnt face the exhaust of it towards the back because the cpu socket is rotated i guess. so the fan sits about an inch from my 7800gt and the back of it faces the ram slots... someone said there is a way to turn it but i havnt found it out yet

Had the AC Pro 64 but really wasn't impressed. Fit was fine and no problems installing whatsoever. I went with a Tuniq Tower and am quite happy with the improvement over the Pro 64.

I have the freezer pro on an Asus A8N-E and it fits fine.

I have it facing the rear blowing towards the exhaust fan.

My 3200+ venice oc'd to 2.5 idles at 31 degrees and under full load it's 41-43 degrees

I'm pretty happy with it for the price I paid and ease of installation.

OK, I'm kinda new at this, so bear with me here. The fan on your Arctic 64 mounted on the A8N-E is on the right, next to the RAM, and blows over the fins toward the exhaust? So clearance next to the RAM is no problem?

IIRC, I removed fan, installed ram and then reattched the fan on the system I built (A8N-E & freezer pro). HSF moving air toward rear exhaust fan.

On my Opteron 144 it's fine, but unfortunately the HSF doesnt work correctly on DFI boards (I have DFI Ultra-D). Right now I have my Opt 144 OC @ 1.98 GHz, and in Prime's torture test I'm getting 34-36 degrees Celcius, IDK if thats good or bad however..............

I actually have the fan on the left side of the board and blows towards my ram, my mistake.

I may change it so the fan blows towards the rear, but my temps are pretty good right now.

Ok, I just went in my comp and changed the heatsink, to the way that you're asking me, and it fits no problem. You'll be happy with the freezer!!
