Fitted dress shirts?

I get Stanford brand, wrinkle free from JcPenny's.

Can usually catch a sale for about $15 each.

Looks nice, fits nice and isn't stupid expensive.

I have better things to spend my money on

Wearing one right now. They aren't bad - the fit is really good, but I am sure quality isn't exactly up to brooks brothers. I just wish they came in more styles and colors. Last I went to JCP there was only 1 table of them in assorted blues. They had plenty other shirts, just not "fitted".

Brooks Brothers, Johnston and Murphy, or Jos. A Bank depending on what I need specifically and who's having the sale. To be honest, I don't often enjoy spending 100-300 bucks on a shirt. Though having a few for certain occasions is nice.

Honestly? For "cheaper" shirts I just go to Express, I like the selection of colors and price - can spend like 20 bucks for a nice shirt on sale. They may not be "fitted" but heck, an XL from express fits me well enough for most occasions. Shopping at places like Penny's/Macy's is just a waste of time.. the selection of shirts in 17.5 37-38 is just abysmal.

Nordstrom's labels actually make fairly fitted shirts. Paul Smith also.

Zara costs more, and dont have variety of sizes or specific length sleeves

I'm really, really slim, (5'10, 145 nominally (though 150+ currently)), and between BB, Jos A Bank, Express, Nordstroms, BB absolutely fit the best. (express comes 2nd. JaB is worst)

That's not the only reason why I wear them, though... it's their superb non-iron treatment. Express looks 4 years old after 1 wash. BB looks like it came straight off the rack, day after day

That's my big point about spending more on a few shirts too. I notice the same thing with my Express shirts, they age quickly when washed. So I pretty much keep my Express shirts for hitting the bars/clubs/etc.. and BB/JaB stuff for business. Sometimes quality is worth the price. (I happen not to mind spending a lot on clothing every once and awhile for well fitting long lasting stuff)

I'm with you. I have a bunch of cheaper clothes that are compromised in 1 way or another. Now I get stuff that cost more, but I use all of the time because theyre higher quality.

In that respect, I would have SAVED money buying the expensive stuff in the first place.

It's all about the fit. I have a thick neck, thickish upperbody and lats and a small waist. Their shirts are really comfy and the ones that I get are cut well to my size. I can occasionally get cheaper shirts that fit well also. But the quality isn't the same after 10 or so washs. You can tell it is more faded.

I have a few nice DKNY and TH shirts.

I'm not too fussed. As long as it is comfy, cut well and fits I'll have a go.

All of my fitted shirts are from Banana Republic.

It's not that I necessarily love their shirts...but it's one of the few places to buy nice, modern cut shirts in Alaska.

TJ Maxx, Macys, JC Penney. I try to buy dress shirts when they are sale for $20-$25. I have better things to spend my money on than $50 shirts

i agree that zara shirts fits nicely, but the sleeves are a little too long, so i may have to get then shortened. it sounds like banana republic would be a good place to try in addition to zara's.

zara's shirt qualities are of dubious nature though, i would much prefer my charles tyrwhitts, but they do not come in fitted...

I have BR slim shirts. the quality and feel is only so-so.. fit not that great either.

If you want CT shirts, there's Thomas Pink who is also on Jermyn St and they make slim cuts
