You must be a Michael Bay fan.
I can enjoy these movies, and Bay movies as well. They aren't my "I want to chill, relax, and enjoy some good Thinking" type movie, but they are my "I don't want to use my brain, I want to soak up ADD-fueled filmmaking" movies.
Sometimes I just want to entertain my ADD, sometimes I want to engage all parts of my brain.
There's nothing wrong with liking popcorn action flicks, especially if one also watches the thinkers, the dramas, the depressing ones (where the ending isn't very happy or motivational).
I know someone who essentially hates almost all of my favorite movies, because they aren't happy.
I think it's weird to only want to be made happy by movies. I don't go into movies wanting to be sad or depressed when they are over, and I'm not generally in such a state at the end, but sometimes those movies just roll through their story in a way that is more
fulfilling.
