I'm stunned by its rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I thought for sure this one would have been slapped with a rotten score, and been a total failure. But to maintain a 79% on RT, that's usually a good indicator that it's a halfway decent movie. I'll see it.

This was the all time worst fast and furious. I saw it during a prescreening and the audience just laughed at it as being unbelievable silly. If you haven't noticed the movie is already in the drive-ins. The local papers here gave it a 1 out of 5. Just not believable.

How does this matter? The Drive-In where I used to live got new releases on opening day. I still remember being there for the first Spiderman, place was crazy and packed full of people.

You're the only person I've heard of that wanted a Bad Boys 3 after seeing part 2. Michael Bay directed those movies. You must be a Michael Bay fan.

I guess, as much as a Roland Emmerich fan for directing ID4, a Justin Lin fan for the last 3 F&F films, or a Richard Donner fan for the Lethal Weapon series.

I like a good action flick. I don't give a shit about who directs it.

Saw this early at the theater with some folks. Normally this isn't the type of movie I'd bother with, but they wanted to see it and I had nothing much better to do. I've seen the first 2, and didn't really care for the 2nd one at all and each trailer afterwards made it look dumber and dumber.

HOWEVER, this one was entertaining for the most part. There isn't as much focus on the cars as there is on the story they're trying to go with which is nice. I feel this is more of an action movie with driving in it, vs. the others which seemed to be street racing movies with other stuff going on (which is good). Lots of unbelievable stunts and general action movie ridiculousness, but if you can turn your brain off and go into "action mode" it's actually a good watch. It apparently uses a lot of characters from the other movies so if you're up to speed you might get more out of it, but I never felt out of the loop in this. I'd say you only need the first one to get most of the references.

Worth seeing at least once IMO.

I'm puzzled why this film is getting better reviews than the other films.

Because the majority of people going to see it are the people who enjoyed 1-4. The rest of the people thought, "2 and 3 sucked donkey balls" and stopped going after that. It was on at the drive-in a couple weeks ago when I was there, on the 2nd screen. During intermission between the two movies I was there for, I caught about 10 minutes of it. Sorry, my ability to suspend disbelief was completely overwhelmed. There's a huge difference between stunts that only insane stuntmen ever attempt, and complete bullshit. This movie was complete bullshit.

Saw it last night, after reading this thread. It was awful.

When I come out of a film thinking the best thing in it was the Rock, I know it was a bad film.
