Great burgers in their price class (heh). Fries are really good too.

But what I really think makes that place great are the hot dogs.

Never heard of them, must be east coast only. No pricing on their webpage.

I believe they are coming to CA too to compete with In-N-Out

Five Guys is great! I'm a California transplant to NC, so I've eaten my fair share of In-n-Out, and I have to say Five Guys is better than In-n-Out. I like the burgers better, and the fries are way better. I never liked In-n-Out fries.

I'm in NY and I think they are going to open one up in Long Island.

We've got one right in Levittown. In the Nassau Mall on Hempstead Tpke.

In-N-Out tastes better and costs less.

What's better? Papa Johns or Pizza Hut?

LuckyTaxi - Little pizza shop on the northeast end of the Coliseum in Rome.

I like Five Guys (burgers and fries are both great), but I always feel like I'm going to die after eating it.

Not really an obscure bar/pub/restaurant. I'd compare it to the In-n-Out Burgers of the West Coast.

With all the damn people on here tripping over each other to bow at the Five Guys alter you'd think their burgers would be filled with mostly hype as well.

If anything Checkers is LESS obscure then Five Guys by a wide margin, at least Checkers has commercials and not just some stupid radio spots. Plus, I don't have to go out of my way in one of our country's major metropolitan areas to get something at Checkers. For Five Guys I have to talk myself out of making hotel reservations (sarcasm, but yeah its like an hour drive for me, hardly worth it)

I always thought of Checkers/Ralley's as being a pretty well known burger joint.

I don't really think of Five Guy's as fast food though (because it isn't fast or cheap).

Went there, a bit pricy to be honest. Around $5 for the burger, I think. That's pretty expensive imo though maybe I just don't eat out that much. However unlimited toppings so you can make it however you like.

Fries were ok, though not that great.

Haven't had a hot dog and only went there once. A bit too far of a drive but it was pretty good. Burger tastes a bit different, I like it though. To each his own.

The first CA location opened in Carson on Memorial Day - I've been back 5 times since then.

The next CA location will be in Cerritos. I'm not sure on timing.

I get the Bacon Cheeseburger with mayo, mustard, ketchup, lettuce, grilled onions, hot sauce with a side of cajun fries

The fries are pretty generic on their own, but they give you copious amounts (ie they'll fill the cup they give you, then just dump some in your bag). The burgers are the best fast food burger I've ever had, but nothing incredible compared to a good burger made at home or any nice place.

Checker's/Rally's is a large, and disgusting chain. The only times I've eaten that shit and enjoyed it is smoking at a hookah lounge at 1 AM that's right next to one. It's also the official burger of NASCAR and the Tampa Bucs

Blasphemy, In-N-Out>Whataburger>All Other Burgers>Horse Shit>Checkers

I've only had them once or twice without having to wait a long ass time or ending up with a burger so sloppy it was unappetizing. Plus, it gives you the worst burger shits

I don't understand the enthusiasm. I've eaten at a few different Five Guys around the ATL area, and the burgers are good but certainly nothing spectacular. With so many local places that produce incredible burgers, I don't see the point.
