So the performance has been fixed, then? I searched for this thread just now.

I recently finished DA:O (really enjoyed the game) and wanted to play through DA:2.

I've read quite a bit of bad press on the forums re: DA:2, but am still willing to give it a shot. However, I like to play at max eye candy (regardless of what 'gamers' really play on, referring to an earlier post).

If I read correctly I need to:

A) Get the game off Steam,
B) Modify it with some high res texture pack
C) Patch
D) Play

I'm looking to play this at 2560x1440 with 4x SSAA, on a 580 SLI (overclocked) and overclocked 2600K system. Are there still issues with Nvidia cards and this game? Looking for some input from people who own the game with Nvidia SLI setups, like Grooveriding etc.

I don't have an Nvidia card anymore so I can't tell you anything about that, so I'll leave that to others.

Anyone have 4xAA benches for DA2 post-fix? I'm interested to see how things perform at the level I normally use (anything above 4x really isn't worth it to me).

Performance has largely improved. In terms of fully maxing the game, turning on the advanced depth of field effect still hammers nvidia (35-40 fps on my system) but without it, frames are excellent. This is a big improvement, as before enabling very high dx11 crushed framerates to 20fps for me.

AMD will probably update their profiles for Crossfire for Brink, "the other thread", way faster than Nvidia could for DA2.

THe reason being that Brink isnt a "the way we mean to buy our way" game... atleast not as far as i can see.

Guess what, DA2 was a gaming evolved game... OH the conspiracy.

Anyway.. just saying.
