A little help please. I'm helping a friend recover a HDD that had an operating system on it (i.e. it was the primary HDD). Specifically after getting a POST (on startup) the error reads that the disk is corrupt.
Nevertheless, the ONLY file we really need to recover is this one flash file that he's put extensive work into. For those of you familiar with Winhex it can do a search for file headers and/or footers. (btw, the program has been very helpful for corrupted compact flash file recovery)
So I'm wondering if anyone knows or knows how to find the appropriate Header, Header Offset, and Footer (if applicable).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
