I got the deal at Electronics Boutique last night. The Metroid Prime pre-order is good until the 24th. You have to buy GC (got platinum) $149.99 + memory card 251 $24.99 + Metroid $29.99 = $205 - $50 MIR giftcard = $149.99 + tax on $205.

It was interesting.....one employee said he was told that the pre order on Metroid was over, we checked printed flyer..good until 11/24. Another employee said the bundle deal was over (GC + Mem + game over $29.99) but we checked the little rebate card and it was good until 11/30. Do not let them wiggle out of it. I just think that they did not want the 2 promotions to overlap as Metroid helped you meet the requirements of the bundle rebate. I am happy...I also paid the $15 for extended warranty.

You cannot randomly save the game, once you get to certain levels it will ask you if you want to save the game.

Just got off the phone with South Center Target. They've got 75 copies. He also said no prob for me bringing in my GC receipt and getting the $19.99 deal. Already got my $5 off coupon, and my $10 giftcard from transferring a Rx.

Any CC app will show up as at the very least, an inquiry on your credit history. Heh, I got approved for a $6k limit.....at the low, low APR of 21.9%!!!!! :Q:Q:Q Needless to say, I'm putting a payment for the balance on the card today, and closing it once the card comes. Wife is a Bank of America employee. Employees get a Visa @ 5% interest But we never use it, so it's a mute point.

You must have got the store card. The Target Visa only has APR's up to 19.9%.

LOL! I guess it all depends on how many inquiries you got and what your credit looks like to begin with.

Anyway, I just got back from Target. Dood seemed confused, since I brought in my GC receipt, but he had to over-ride to give me the $30 off the game, then again to do the $5 off. But after the coupons, and my free $10 giftcard, it came to $6.75. I'm a happy camper!

Oh, and he didn't mark my GC receipt or anything saying I had already gotten the game......

Why is no one able to get in on the $20 GC deal when it is cleary stated on their website? I'm confused... Just cause it was in last week's ad and not this week's doesn't mean it's over, right? It's on their website!

I should've argued it more, but it also says "Limited Quantities Available" on the website. That right there is pretty much a blanket statement that says they can pretty much stop giving em out whenever they feel like it. Besides, I just paid $6.75 for Metroid Prime, and $8.98 for NBA Street, and $135 for my Gamecube, no need to be greedy

I called and she said no to the $20 GiftCard, it was last weeks. She did say it's $20 with a GameCube purchase. Here's what I plan to do

Go in later or tomorrow when a different person is working, with a printout of the page which says in store, then shows the coupon book and $20 GiftCard.

$189 Sunshine bundle (hopefully they have it)
+ $20 Metroid
- $5 coupon
- $20 GC
=$184.

Probably will pass if I can't get the $20 GC

does anyone know how much data fits on these little discs? I noticed that Resident Evil Zer0 has 2 discs. Having to switch discs is kinda a negative.

The discs can be swapped on the fly. I think 1.5GB a disc


Does anyone have more info on the $20 gift card? I wasn't able to get it (waited about 30 minutes for them to decide). Manager is going to check at home tonight, they couldn't get online at the store. She said to call back tomorrow and she'd know. She said it's doubtful

I printed out the screens from that site and told him about the $20, he said he never even heard of it. Not even last week. He said they are a smaller Target (class D) and they don't get a lot of the deals that the B's and above do. Manager came back and said she called HQ and they said the site was a fake (they were real nice about it). I pulled out the $5 coupon and said I printed it off the same site, but if it worked that it should mean it's from Target. She laughed and said yeah and scanned it and it came up as valid so she got a little puzzled.

What she is thinking right now is that the website should have pulled the $20 ad. She said if I could print a physical coupon like I did for the $5 off, she would give it to me.

I went ahead and bought the Sunshine bundle and Metroid - $5 off for $205. Not shabby, but not scorching as the $20 GC would have been. Maybe I'll luck out when I call her.

Major props to them though, they were all super friendly. The guy said if it was up to him he'd give it to me, but the system has to have something scanned to give out a free gift card.

So does anyone have any info or coupon for the $20 GC? Even a scan of the ad?

The discs hold about a gig and a half. You don't get into the hassle of disc switching. It happens once, and fairly late into the game.
