Is there a print-able copy of this 20% off coupon? I'm having problems ordering the LCD on line.

Don't suppose anyone knows what the pixel response time is on this monitor? I can't find any info on the box or on the Microtek website.

Also the local store I went to said they don't have the paper rebates, just one that prints at the cash register.

<< does anyone know if office depot b&m gives you one $50 mir form? or it it one $20 and one $30 mir as well as the ones found online? The online forms are here: $20 and $30 thanks >>

Actually the $30 one you posted I don't think is the correct one. Here is the one that says you can use it with the $20 promotion.

$30

That's the best price (excluding employee discounts) that i've seen on a Flat Panel.. But they are still just too rich for this College Man's Blood.

I got mine today - 1024 x 768 @75 max, but it's a pretty sweet monitor for the price. Not that it matters too much, but the casing is a cool metallic silver/blue color scheme.

This monitor is on back-order now.

If I place the order now, will the purchase date on the receipt be today's date ??

Thanks for your help.

I jumped on this one. I have been waiting for a flat panel to come down to $200, but this was close. I did an instore pickup, so I will be able to waltz back into the store and demand an exchange if I don't like the number of dead pixels. Anybody have any complaints about the dead pixel count so far ?

Hate to crap on this thread, but another OD rebate. Does anybody know how difficult it is to get a hold of ExpressGroup, the company that handles their rebates? Click on the rebate tracking site, try to send an email to the link at the bottom of the page. IT DOESN'T WORK! Try to call and they have a bunch of IDIOTS working there. Just something to keep in mind. I already have $90 in rebate that they are trying to screw me out of. I won't buy anything else from OD that has a rebate. If I get screwed by ExpressGroup I won't buy anything else from OD PERIOD!

Yeah I have been hit and miss with OD rebates too . . . the one good thing about Staples is that you can count on getting their rebates.

To answer somebody previous question . . . the rebate total is $50 ($30 + $20) not $100 . . .

Mine arrived with one dead pixel on the far left side of the screen (right by the edge). That's it.

Mine also has one tiny dead pixel in the upper top far left. I don't know if its worth returning and getting another or not... I'm afraid of getting one that might be worse. Mine came with some masking tape on the plastic bag that goes around the monitor... not sure if it was used or if Microtek did that.

has anyone thought about using amex card for kds rad-5?

it's $288 after 20% off.
the lowest price online is $305 so that should give you 360-305 = $55.
shouldn't it be 288-55 = $233 then?

not to mention there is no need to wait for rebate.

It's back in stock on their website. I printed out my shopping cart with the 20% discount and stopped by a local Office Depot and they matched the price. I did call a head of time and verified they would do this. The two rebates printed out as part of my receipt. I opened up the monitor since one wasn't on dispaly. The build quality looks good. It's a sharp looking monitor with a silver tone.

Awsome price!!!
Thanks Tanner!!!!

Hi- Try printing up a $10 off $50 coupon in the store on their printers, after creating a new account (still on their computer) and getting 20% off, with "pick up at the store" checked. Then walk directly over to the customer service counter to tell them you came to pick up your order. If you don't get a reaction from the store, I would be surprised because it happened to me and my buddy today. I swear if it weren't for the good people working at the second Office Depot we went to being so nice we might never shop there again. Actually I want to give a shout out to my man Gregg who was kind enough to refund an additional $10 for a prior day purchase. Also props must be given to the store manager Tom, as he was smart enough to realize we were in our rights. But a big pooh pooh to Amber, an assistant manager that really needs to understand the customer is always right.

If I catch hell for this from this forum, I am sorry, but this was such a strange day I had to post this.

Remeber go to the store with the in store coupon for $10 off $50, and demand a $10 refund.

I'm thinking that between the current HP Digital Camera/Printer/64Mb CF card dealio for $145 OD is going to be outta business by the end of the WEEK!

and NO MORE PMin' for them either!

I can see it now bulletin from the Corporate offices in wheregettingrippedanewonebyanandtechers, somewhere USA

"We are NO LONGER honoring ANYTHING that ANYONE from ANANDTECH comes in here with!"

hehehe

A SUPER MERRY CHRISTMAS NOW!

hey the deal's dead, but for those who wanna know, the pixel response rate on the microtek monitor is 27ms...not too bad. i also picked up a rad-5 and that has a response rate of 25ms. i'm going to test them out soon.

however, the microtek's viewing angles are much crappier than the rad-5. 120X100 instead of 150X120.

In the store, the rad-5 looked much clearer and i'd say it was worth the extra money. however, the microtek was hooked up to a brand-x emachines card. so i dont think that's a fair comparison. i'm going to test them both out right now.

might i add that under microtek's warranty, they must first receive the monitor, and then they send one back...which means downtime.
KDS is really nice because they will issue a RMA and send a monitor in advance, so you'll never be without one.

is it true that kds is chapter 11? i wonder if KDS's KARES program will stay in effect. if it will, ill spend more and keep the KDS. My stuff takes a little abuse, and I can't be without a monitor for like 3 weeks just because a few pixels die.
