BTW could not believe that airborne express just left one grand worth of computer gear sitting on my front porch. Was tracking it so when I saw it was delivered high tailed it home to pick it up.

They did cancel a ton, but that doesn't mean you can't still get them. Call their online sales team, 800-901-3355 x 61843, and wait for a representative. Do not push a number for one of the menu choices. Wait through the menu and then it'll connect you to a live rep. Then tell them what happened to your order. The csr I got just asked me how much my original order was for and replaced it at the weekend sale price. Axim for 154 shipped.

I called up the other day, and had an online sales guy process my order while i was on the phone. Everything except for my backordered dvd burner has shipped.

After ten or so phone calls, several with speech UNrecogniton to the words "yes" and "no" ...and five so-called sales reps, three "the number you dialed is no longer a working number and to please call back at (512) a toll number(recited by a Dell sales rep voice_ not the voice you usually hear saying those same exact words), I got a rep after repeating the same ol' sh&t over and over with a huge online id order number (instead of a "real" order number), I got a rep that substituted my 15+15% (27%) off and free shipping from a Canon G5 to a Nikon Coolpix 5700 (more $) ...that was subsequently shipped out within two hours of my last phone call (I couldn't believe it) ...arrived the next day. Of course, this was after they inconvenienced me four to five days.

I was told everything from "there's nothing we can do" and "only a manager can do that" and "you can't do that!" and that "the 10% home side offer is currently better than the 27% off that you almost got". Four days without an email confirmation, just the initial automatic acknowedgement ...it's like they're testing a new software that shrieks to a halt when they blow the GP wad!

If you bought another type peripheral other than a camera, hang in there! Make the call, jump through the hoops and ladders! ...you should be able to get the offer they promised!

I'm having the same experience as everyone:

On 6/15/2003, I ordered the Kingston 256 MB CF Card, and the Canon S400 camera. The total came out to $418.89. Today, while checking the status order, I noticed that mysteriously, only the CF card shipped, and the S400 was somehow 'cancelled per customer request'. Of course this was bogus, so, I spend the last hour and a half calling up Dell customer support. I must have gone through 3 CSRs and a supervisor before she advised to email the Sales Rep who had modified my order.

So, I emailed my Sales Rep, and will give him the advised 24 hour to reply before taking it up with Dell sales.

Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed from her to try and get the S400 at the price which was confirmed to me?

I shall update the thread with my progress.

trikster2 when did you order your Planar PX191 and for what price? I orderd the Planar PX191 for $618.04 shipped on Thursday 06/12 in the evening and got the Order Acknowledgement & Confirmation email right away that the Planar PX191 19" LCD would ship on 06/17. However, on Monday I got an email that the PX191 will not ship until 06/25. I hope my order will not be canceled or delayed any further. Too good of a deal for that LCD.

It came today from this deal last weekend. I paid $366 and change with tax (FL).

What a wonderful camera. Its $499 EVERYWHERE!

woohoo, combined with the 256MB Simpletech flash I got a month back on the 200GB WD + 256MB CF for $116 after rebates, and I'm a very happy Dell customer.

My stupid Lite-On dual format DVD burner got cancelled but I got my Plextor 52x CDRW from the same order early Tuesday morning. Oh well, 1 for 2. I'm still not sure if I'm going to try to get the DVD burner reinstated - it was over $100 off I think.

Add one more to the number of cancelled S400 orders. Funny thing is they cancelled my kingston 256mb cf card yesterday and just did my S400 today. Both orders were placed at seperate time.... Some glitch. I'll try to get this reinstated tomorrow. We'll see how it goes....

I got a freaking camera BAG deleted - wow - I got a whole extra $1.50 off on that, and they cancelled it.

(original price $14.99, i "got" it for $12.xx with tax.)

I called Dell customer care this morning and they told me they had cancelled 15,000 orders last night because there was a pricing error. The price was "15% too low". So I guess for all orders made last weekend via the "15% + 15% + 5%" deal, if you haven't received your shipment yet, then the deal is dead.

Well, I'm glad I got my Seagate Cheetah 15k.3 18.4GB drive at least. It arrived two days ago. My S400 order was cancelled though.

They said they're going to send out notification emails soon.

Dell was nice enough to me to cancel my OTHER ORDER PLACED BEFORE all this started. I had a back-ordered LCD from when it was 15% off all LCD's, and I used a 15% off coupon I received in e-mail, and they won't reactivate that either! I had ordered a second of the same LCD with the 15/15/5 deal, and now i cant get either

I didnt get anything, I went to check on the status and suddenly the order number came back as being canceled :-/

After 4.5 hrs over the last 2 days, 14 different people over 2 countries in 5 depts, it looks like I *may* be getting my order reinstated.
