Thanks for the dvd+r deals. I have been looking for some nice prices on that stuff. Lotusnotesguy, I would be interested in hearing more about that "bitset utility", because one of my set top dvd players does not recognize my dvd+rw media. I have not yet tried the dvd+r in it, because I only have one disc and I don't want to waste it.

Anyone have any experience with Sony or CompUSA-brand DVD-R discs? I only need to burn 10-15 discs for backup purposes so I don't mind paying the slight premium for the name-brand discs (ya I know they're probably just rebadged "generics" but oh well ).

Hey djbacklash- I've used the CompUSA DVD-r's with good success in my Xbox. They are consistent which is more than I can say than the CDRs I've thrown at it.

Gordita, for a no solder PS2 modchip, TB reported they are $24 at Easybuy2000.

I have no clue about copying PS2 games, but I do know that you cannot copy Xbox games since they are dual layer DVD-9. You must download the ISO and burn it similar to Dreamcast.
