Wow! Good find. I work at a Radio Shack and I didn't know this. We haven't carried this antenna in a long time, but when we had it it was a good one. If you can find it at $9.97 then go for it. Our cost is 5 times that much on this thing so depending on which store has it you might not get the $9.97 price. (Non corporate owned stores can set their own prices) Make sure you call ahead for this as it will be a hard one to find. Good Luck.

I scored one. It did improve my reception. Now all I need is one of those antenna rotor things to be able to remotely controle the direction. Then I should be able to point it north and pick up some Canadian channels. Anyone know a good deal on an antenna rotator (what ever you call em)?

I notices several post stating that the new "Larger" antenna did not help their reception. In a fringe reception area the best thing you can do for an TV antenna system is to use a amplifier and coax cable The amp connects to a short piece of twin lead from the antenna and then you can run coax into the house to the power supply for the amp. The Channel Master 0064 is about the best one out there.

Size does matter. Its all based on signal to noise ratio. An amplifier will boost signal and noise. Remember that these things are highly directional. Point and shoot!

Up until about a year and a half ago I used an antenna roughly this size. Had it setup on a rotor. I kept a log book over time and recorded tuning in 72 channels. Of course most of those were very weather dependant. In total had stations from 4 states including my own.
