The title should read Warm not Flaming Hot. GeForce 2 Ti is a notch below the GeForce 2 Ultra which is a notch below the GeForce 3 Ti-200 which is a notch below the GeForce 3 which is a notch below the GeForce 3 Ti-500. Just in case you wanted to know.

The confusion is understandable as even the boxes on the GF2 and GF3 look nearly identical. This provided huge entertainment value at BB Black Friday. Standing near the empty GF3 shelf space I'd quickly grab one of the few remaining GF2 boxes just as some geek came fast walking up to the shelf, causing them to snatch and dash with a huge grin...heheheh

I was one of the smart ones who bought the card and HD early when they were in stock and came back on friday around 10:30 to pricematch...no rushing to get in line, no waking up at 5am.

it was so pie, easy as.

i was suppose to pick a hd and video card for my friend this past friday, but i didn't know that i had to be in the store at 7:01 or i get nothing. my first black friday expierence.. well i got to bb at 7:20.. there was nothing left!

good thing i was awake tho, went to compusa and got me a geforce 2 mx for my mom's puter, and free memory.. and also i got the cdrw but i sold it now

I saw the Best Buy deal also and was excited about it until I looked a little closer at the box. The advertisment stated a Visionttek 5864(GF2TI)but the box they had on the shelf was actually a Visiontek 5564(GF2MX). I pointed this out to the salesman who played dumb and said
the ad in the flyer must be a misprint. If you bought one of these "great deals" check the Visiontek model number that you recevied.

It shows a slight lack of intelligence to say a deal isn't hoy by comparing to something YOU CAN'T HAVE ANYMORE. The cheapest Ti200 is still 170 online, so 125 before rebate or 99 after rebate definitely is a good deal on this. For non-overclockers, you won't see much of a difference in games now anyway especially UT and a few others. this is a good deal for those who want a decent upgrade (especially form an MX) but don't want to waste money on a GF3 when the next generation will be out in a few months. Before criticizing a deal, try looking at it objectively. As a matter of fact, what exactly was the point of even posting what you did ? If you're gonna reply that you're trying to help people comparison shop , please don't bother. The only way to help people compare products and prices is to demonstrate something they can actually have at this moment. The cheapest Ti's go for 100+ with shipping on ebay, so it might be extremely worthwhile for someone already looking for a GF2
