<< The major difference that seperates Klipsch from the rest is the quality. >>

there is a vast difference between most Klipsch products and Klipsch Promedia. The rest of their products have a 5 year warranty, whereas the promedia only have a 1 year warranty. Klipsch acts as if you don't exist after the warranty.

Yzzim - you don't have anything to lose in calling them up and asking for the $175 price they had yesterday. Give it a shot. But to answer your question, yes, $199 is still hot if it includes free shipping. You also have to consider that the vendor has been deemed OK by the poster of the deal. Many reviewers really raved (and still do) about these speakers, and that is why I bought them.

For you Z560 fans out there, I also have a set of these hooked up to another computer side by side with the Klipsch's. I got in the deal before and I paid $109 for them. Which are better speakers overall? Let me put it this way: Considering this present deal, and the BEST price today for the z560's, I would go with Klipsch. However, if I had a choice of $109 set of z560's, and a $200 set of the Klipsch's, I would go with the z560's. The $175 price of yesterday was a no-brainer for the Klipsch's. In other words, it ends of being a very close call between the two sets.

<< Something tells me BA4800 are much better than these outdated Promedia V.2-400s. BA4800 delievers crisp high-range and Rich midrange that these Promedias seem to lack.

Any opinions?

Well, not to bust your gut or anything, but I disagree. I'm more into home-audio, but I don't think your BA speakers are better than the Klipsch's. You say that the BA's delivers crisp high-range, but they're lacking a tweeter. A single 2.5" driver is not going to deliver much treble above 10khz, and there's going to be a lot of roll-off once you go off axis. The Klipsch's, otoh, have a separate tweeter and midrange. About midrange, a 180hz x-over (according to the site you provided) is high. The general rule is that you never want an x-over of above 100hz, and pref much lower than that. Lastly, the Klipsch's come with an 8" sub, which is larger than the 6.5" sub in the BA's.

Like I said, I'm not trying to bust your gut - I just think the Klipsch's at that price seem like a really hot deal

the Klipsch speakers featured in this thread have dual 6.5" subs, not 8" .

no "deals" on the klipsch unless you get em from FS/FT. but you get what you pay for in klipsch quality (that is a good thing)! as for the z560s, i got em for 145 shipped from www.journeyed.com, an academic retailer. they can be found for that price in many places.

I just recieved my speakers this morning, and I think they're DOA I plugged them in and they don't turn on... I emailed both vanns.com and klipsch tech support and am waiting for a response back from them. I don't want to have to RMA them back

Klipsch rules. I'd almost buy another set just because it's a great deal.

How do these compare to the Z560's? I have these, but I wonder if it's worth getting the Z560's instead.
