I don't believe that was like 11 years ago...shit. I still remember being at this teen center thing in my town and that cd always got played over and over. They were open tuesday nights and thurs-sat nights...man that brings back memories.

ole timer, Ha! In my day we didn't have youtube, VH1, or MTV, we had Dick Clarks American Band Stand on Saturday morning, with special quests like The Strawberry Alarm Clock.
Yikes! now I'm getting a flashback.

How about Junior High School, when we ate our lunch on the bleachers in the gym and they opened up the sound system and we could bring in our favorite 45's and the AV boyz played 'em.

Most girls got out and danced to them, and all the boys sat & watched. :laugh:

The year was Nineteen Thirty Four, and I decided to go to Morganville. I was wearing an onion on my belt, as was the style then. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say. Now where was I... oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Bob Dylan - The Hurricane

I graduated in 1999, but that song is embedded into my brain thanks to high school... one day, after school, my friends and I were playing Quake 2 in the yearbook office over the lan. my one friend is super into oldies and he put a mix cd into the stereo. Hurricane was the first track... it wasn't until the song was over that we realized that the stereo was set to repeat, but everyone refused to get up to change it so we ended up listening to it non-stop for an hour

as far as contemporary songs went... mother fucking "Kiss Me" by sixpence none the richer. the song is forever associated with my high school boyfriend in all the worst possible ways and is pretty much guaranteed to turn me from mellow to annoyed if I happen to be forced to listen to it in a grocery store or something.
