Flashing 8800GT to GEN1 Bios

going to order the 8800gt for my pc, but i need the gen1 bios to make it work on the board

how do i go about doing this? i only have one pc with a motherboard that will support the 8800gt...i have no idea how to boot it up, i have a portable usb drive with 128mb of ram, can i boot with that somehow?

bump--i downloaded the asus flasher. there's three files:

as01gen1.rom
CWSDPMI.exe
nvflash.exe

now how would i flash the bios? do i just copy it to a cd?

You need to create a bootable media, be it CD or the flash drive and copy the files onto the media. In bios, select media as the first boot option.

Once booted to the media, type: nvflash as01gen1.rom

May need to use handles -5 -6 and if so type: nvflash -5 -6 as01gen1.rom
