My brother's computer has an ECS K7S5A PCB 1.X
I tried to flash the BIOS and I ran into some trouble. What happened was that the BIOS was successfully copied to the BIOS, but when the computer automatically rebooted, it kept on rebooting itself.
I read that this process is called the BOOT BLOCK, and you're suppose to be able to recover the BIOS by simply inserting a floppy disk with the version of BIOS that you want, but the file on the floppy needs to be renamed AMIBOOT.ROM, and after the computer has flashed the BIOS it will give 4 beeps and reboot.
My problem is that even after I get the 4 beeps, the computer doesn't reboot normally, it keeps going through the BOOT BLOCK over and over.
Am I doing something wrong? Or do I have to do a hot swap?
