flashing from USB Floppy

Quick question.... building a PC with an ASUS A7N8X-E deluxe mobo. I am not planning on putting a floppy in the system. I do have a USB floppy drive that I was hoping I could use to flash the BIOS (if necessary) before installing the OS. Is this possible, or do you have to flash from an internal floppy attached to the FDD controller on the mobo?

It is possible, I do it on my IBM laptop all the time.

Assuming your BIOS allows you to select USB as a boot device then yer golden.

If not then you can always burn a bootable CD (finalize session not CD, or use a CDRW) and put to flash rom on there.
