FlaskMPEG alternative

Hi everybody (this is my first post here, BTW)!

are there any good alternatives to FlaskMPEG? I found both the 0.594 (with and without AMD patch) and the 0.600 preview versions to be extremely unstable on my system.

I'm doing triple boot with w98SE, w2k sp2, wXP. Only under w98se I was able to create a working .avi file, but only after FlaskMPEG having crashed a dozen times.

I imagine you want Flask because of its ease, right?

If that's the case, look into FairUse. It's a little more complex, though not much at all, and produces results that make flask look sick anyway.

Try GordianKnot for the whole package, I use Nandub standalone for my encoder, nice output.

thanks everybody. I tried GKnot, but it crashed... Very strange, apart from DVD encoding my system is rock stable.

Looks like FairUse does not encode sound, right?

I'll give Nandub and xmpeg a try tonight.
