http://fe2017.com/ Wow...what happened?, how can people actually spend travel and hotel $$ for something like this?, It's sold out BTW, but if you act quickly one can buy the streaming package for only $17.99. What bothers me is someone believing in flat-earth possibly getting elected into political office. Did our educational system fail that badly, or is this just a "thing" for present times?.

How do you get in an airplane, look out the window, and not see the curvature of the earth?

I remember driving through Kansas once...it was so flat that you could literally see the curve of the earth on the horizon lol.

You can't see the curvature of the earth from the ground. You might be able to detect it at 35,000 feet but not from the ground. The only way that would even be remotely possible is if you were seeing objects, like a ship, disappear as it goes over the horizon.

But yeah, these people are fools.

So when you fly across the flat earth and reach the edge do you warp back to the other edge?

Wow, that is absolutely crazy. Anyone can perform their own "experiment" and see the curvature of the earth with a weather balloon and a hundred bucks or so worth of stuff.

Yup, it's been done a few times already but the "flatties" think it's "fake". These people actually think the sun is 34 miles across and 3,000 miles away. Here is their You tube live-chat stream but I must warn you, there is POWERFUL stupid in here!, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cT_k6aPoq4w

They can do it themselves though, it's easy as sin. Kids are doing it for their middle school science fairs FFS. There just isn't an excuse NOT to do it these days with how cheap electronic components have gotten and things like Raspberry Pi.

Holy crap, against my better judgement I clicked the link just to see the title and read the chat for a few minutes. Fuck these guys are stupid, hurricanes are evidently man made and sent to where the government wants them to go! Guess we had some bitching technology hundreds of years ago and for some reason we don't use them against our enemies.

There was a guy on another forum that professed belief in all kinds of wacky stuff. Real far out there stuff. Hollow earth, moon nazis, that kind of thing. Pushing him on it over time, it kind of came out that he just /wanted/ to believe it, but acted as though it were real. IOW, I don't think he would have put money on its existence. I wonder if the flat earthers. and others are the same way? Hard to believe there's people that aren't severely brain damaged who take that seriously.

Yeah that's the part I found cool my first time on a plane. You don't see it as much on a Dash-8 but when we got on the bigger jet it was quite visible.

I think it's something to do with the plane windows though, the same people who are responsible for chemtrails also design the windows to make people think the Earth is round.

Before clicking on the link I thought the name they came up with was a metaphor or a symbolic name for the real underlying purpose of the group. It was unconscionable for me to think it was literal.

Nope, they actually believe the Earth is flat.
